Submarine Launches New Menu: Smash Burgers Upgraded, Legendary Favorites Return

Along with two new smash burgers, we are bringing back the Country Burger and the legendary Beast Fries, the absolute favorites of our biggest Submarine fans.

Just ahead of the summer season, we at Submarine are introducing a new seasonal menu, bringing our most diverse lineup yet, from innovative smash burgers and fresh superfood salads to the return of cult favorites that our guests have been eagerly waiting for.

The spotlight of our new menu is on smash burgers, a category we have been developing over the past two years. The secret to our smash burgers lies in the preparation technique: pressing the meat onto a hot griddle, which achieves intense caramelization and a bold, savory flavor.

Our new lineup brings two exciting variations: the Truffle Shuffle smash burger with homemade Istrian white truffle sauce, and a smash burger with grilled melted cheese and jalapeño peppers. This further expands our existing smash selection, while our guests can still enjoy the three well-known and popular variations.

The Return of the Legends

Alongside these novelties, we are also bringing back a few beloved classics. The Country Burger is once again stealing the spotlight, standing out with its combination of locally sourced beef, white cabbage, caramelized onions, smoked Dalmatian pancetta, grilled smoked cheese, and our homemade honey mustard sauce.

Beast Fries are also making a comeback, our legendary fries made from local Lika potatoes, topped with caramelized onions, grilled melted cheese, and our signature Special Submarine sauce.

For guests who prefer lighter meals during the summer, we are introducing two new Superfood salads:

  • Pesto Chicken Salad: Combines free-range chicken with pesto sauce, fresh mixed greens, celery, Grana Padano cheese, and cashews.

  • Super Protein Salad: Offers a nutritionally rich mix of baby spinach, kale, and Swiss chard, paired with smoked tofu, chickpeas, grated carrots, red beans, crunchy almonds, and our vegan Submarine sauce.

Rounding out our summer menu are new refreshments, our homemade Submarine lemonades with mint and a mint-strawberry combo, as well as an espresso tonic for coffee lovers.

Today, Submarine counts 22 restaurants across Croatia, including our recently opened locations in Rovinj, Varaždin, and Pula, alongside our presence in Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Split, and Zadar.
